We are just starting down the Guardian Home journey and have alot of options for families to choose from. From adult trained dogs to 8 week old pups. We want to make sure we find the right match for both the dog and the family. Inquire today and we can chat about the perfect match for you!
What is a Guardian Home and why are we using them in our program?
Guardian Homes provide a loving forever family to one of our breeding dogs. They live with their families full time and come back to our home for breeding and having babies. When they retire, they stay with their families forever.
We want our breeding parents to be family pets with all the love and attention they can possibly get. Guardian’s receive one of the Breeders top pick of a litter at no charge. We will fully health test the puppy to meet our highest standards for potential parents.

Sadie is 10 weeks old and is such a little sweatheart. She is doing really well with her kennel training. She is a calm & quiet girl that loves a good cuddle. She has a beautiful wavy coat. Her mom is Holly & her dad is Jaxson!
She is projected to mature between 30-35 pounds.
We want to create a wonderful relationship with our Guardian Families and we are always available to them for support and questions.
Guardian Home Families
Guardian Home families must provide a loving, safe and clean environment within an hour drive of us. That means an hour from Sherwood Park/Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.
Benefits of a Guardian Home
- Guardian Home Families receive the pick of the litter for no cost. This is my pick of the litter and the very best puppy of the litter!
- We will try to match the families with what they are hoping for as far as size and generation. If there are allergy concerns or shedding concerns. We will also match temperament with families so that both the pup and family are successful.
- The puppy/dog is fully health tested to GANA’s Gold Level Standards prior to breeding. This includes DNA Testing (We only breed Clear DNA Panels, OFA CAER Eyes, OFA Elbows, OFA Hips, OFA Cardio, and OFA Patella clearances.
- The puppy/dog stays with you for their lifetime and full ownership is transferred once they retire.
- We pay for the spay/neuter when their breeding career is complete.
- Baxter & Bella Puppy Program paid by us.
- Fetch Pet Insurance Paid by us for their breeding career.
- Litter Bonus are paid to Guardian families when we have successful breedings that complete puppy classes and adult training classes, socialization and are easy to work with.
- Opportunity for potential staycation at our home when families vacation or need a short term daycare. This would be for females only. (This will depend on our schedule but we will try our hardest to accomodate requests) This gives the pups an opportunity to get used to our home. I may provide a grooming while they are with us as well so they get used to me handling them for birthing are grooming needs. They will be loved and spoiled with us and sleep in my bedroom.
What are we looking for in a Guardian Home
- You must own a home with a fenced yard or have a way to keep the dog safely confined.
- You must provide a safe, clean, loving environment
- You must provide a high quality approved food.
- Previous dog experience, willing to attend obedience classes, continue with crate training and socialization.
- Must not allow contact with intact dogs of the opposite sex.
- Provide basic dog care, grooming every 6-8 weeks, scheduled vet checkups, vaccinations and deworm/parrasite control specific to a breeding dogs needs.
- You must have a suitable, approved caregiver while you are away. Breeding dogs can not to to a boarding kennel or doggy daycare as they are no altered.
- You need to be able to afford the costs of owning a Goldendoodle.
- You must be open to communication with me and and trusting that I will always put the health of our Breeding dogs first when making decisions about their breeding and birthing.
- I will raise the babies in our home under our care. Our mom’s and pups are our first priority over everything else.
- All the dog/puppy’s Vet care must be through our Vet, Dr. Vicky Janes of Heartland Fort Veterinary Services in Fort Saskatchewan. She has done all of our regular and breeding care since 2021 and I trust her implicitly. She is familiar with my high standards and knows our lines and our dogs. We are grateful for their care and love going there! For Emergency Care, Boreal Emergency Vet is our preferred option. Once the breeding dog retires, the family can choose whomever they like for their Vet.
What to Expect
Our Mom’s typically have 3 – 4 Litters and retire in their 4-5th year. We will pay for their spay when they retire and their ownership changes to their family. When we need mom’s for breeding, we will pick them up or your welcome to come to our home and drop them off. We will take on the majority of the travel to lessen the burden on our Guardian families.
Mom’s will come to us a few days before they are due for me to safely deliver their babies and for 8 weeks of whelping and raising their babies. Once they have weaned their babies, they will be groomed and can return to their families. You get to watch us raise the pups and see mom everyday on our YouTube videos.
Dad’s will stay in our program for 5 – 6 years. We will pick them up when needed for breeding or you are welcome to come to our home with him. When a Dad retires, we will pay for their neuter and their ownership changes to their family.
Any Health Testing Appointments we will pay for and work with your schedule. All of our Health Testing is done at our Vet’s Office, Dr. Vicky Janes of Heartland Fort Vet Clinic. We will try to coordinate their testing with their regular check up appointments. The only test that has to be done at a different place is the OFA CAER Eye exams. Dr. Kelly Combs Ramey, an Opthamologist comes up twice a year for a clinic in Devon.
We will typically only have females in Guardian homes and we tend to keep our dads in our home. If you are interested in a boy, always ask as you never know I may have an opportunity. A male Guardian will have a longer commitment but may only be needed 3 or 4 times for breeding a year.
We will typically have 8 week old pups going into Guardian Homes normally but we are starting our Guardian Homes Program wanting to put some of our younger mom’s that have only had 1 or 2 litters. We do have a few younger additions that are between the ages of 4-9 months that we would like to place in guardian homes as well. We have great appreciation for our Guardian Families and will try our hardest to accomodate any requests and show our appreciation and spoil the dogs whenever we can. I want to treat our families with respect and how I would want to be treated if I was a Guardian Family myself.

Bailey is the sweetest girl! She is great. She really has a sweet disposition and loves everyone, kids and dogs. She settles down well, and is content to let the kids run around after saying hi. She certainly has the zoomies and is full of beans but settles well and I am able to work during the day.
